G'DAY
My name is Brendan Cohen, I'm a 25 year old animal biologist and science communicator. I am an extroverted, project-oriented, people-person, who thrives in environments that promotes team orientated problem solving, encourages networking and collaboration, and rewards actions that create positive impact beyond oneself. I’m highly intellectually curious and motivated to use the power of storytelling and multi-media to bridge the gap between field research and public knowledge.
My Story
One may assume that because I was born and raised in Australia by South African parents that I must love the outdoors and animals…and you’d be right! At a young age I was either outside searching for the next adventure, studying birds in my backyard, or glued to the TV watching nature documentaries and MythBusters. I remember naively thinking to myself “Wow it would be so cool to work in a nature documentaries, but that can’t actually be a job can it?”... Since then, my passion for science, multi-media and nature has only grown stronger.
